This article deals with the connection of a FX30 gateway to Pilot Things to use its internal I/O ports.
The Sierra Wireless FX30 cellular gateway has I/O ports located within its Power connector (see figure hereunder)

Step 1: install Pilot Things I/O ports agent

Connect the FX30 to Pilot Things following that article Connect FX30 gateway to Pilot Things
Step 2 (optional) : configure I/O ports
Pilot Things I/O agent comes with a default configuration for the I/O ports. To modify the configuration goes into Network menu and click on the FX30 then select configuration.
Step 3: use the agent
We may connect any type of sensor on the digital or analog PIN. The FX30 includes a button located between the Ethernet et power connector:
The measurements of thing "Switch FX30" will change in each time you press that button.
