This guide will help you get what is Power IoT and how to set it up.
What is Power IoT ?
Power IoT is a web server that collect and decode LoRaWAN sensors and provide the business data to Microsoft Power Apps. With Power IoT and Microsoft Power Apps you can build applications very quickly using real time sensor data.
Pilot Things is Power IoT software vendor. Power IoT is available in Microsoft Azure Marketplace with a valid Azure subscription. Microsoft provides trial account (see https://azure.microsoft.com/)
Set up Power IoT
Prerequisites : a valid Microsoft Azure account,Power IoT is delivered as an Azure Managed application.
If you are not logged in Microsoft Azure, click on Get it now button
We will have to login, select a plan and click on create button:
The Microsoft Azure ressource setup page will show up like this:
You can select an existing resource group or create a new one. Instance application name and Managed application name could be identical.
After successful deployment, you will have a Managed Application in your selected resource group and a newly resource group including all the Power IoT resources.
Complete deployment could take up to 10 minutes...be patient :)
Connect gateways and sensors
Prerequisites : you must get at least 1 Kerlink gateway with SPN or Wanesy software license and 1 LoRaWAN sensor. Contact us if you do not have a gateway yet : poweriot@pilot-things.com
